One Big Green, the specialized software for plantscapers

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and we're excited to share some powerful new features and improvements now live in One Big Green, the specialized software for plantscapers! From a reimagined Operational Calendar in the BackOffice to a brand-new Offline Mode in the app, these updates are designed to make your daily work smoother, faster, and more reliable, no matter where you are.

Let’s take a look at what’s new 👇

📱Mobile app updates

Offline Mode is Here!

This is one of our biggest app improvements yet - and it’s all about keeping your work safe in the field, even when you lose cell signal.

Here’s how it works:

  • When you are online, the app automatically downloads all key data (visits, sites, displays, extras, etc.) for the next two days. You can check the saved dates in the new Offline Data section.

  • If your connection drops, you’ll see a message that you’re working offline and that some functionality is limited - but you’ll still have access to everything you need to get the job done.

  • While offline, any actions you take - like starting or finishing visits, logging work, adding notes, or requesting replacements - are saved locally in your phone’s cache. You can see these items in the new Saved Actions section.

  • As soon as you’re back online, all saved actions are automatically uploaded to the Back Office, and the “Saved Actions” section is cleared.

  • To save space, the app also clears downloaded offline data regularly.

Please note: Offline mode is a backup, not a replacement, for the app’s full cloud-based functionality. But we know how frustrating it can be to lose work due to a poor signal, so this new feature gives you peace of mind, no matter where the job takes you.

Visual and Naming Updates Across the App

We’ve also refreshed a number of small visual elements and naming conventions to make everything more consistent and user-friendly.

💻 Back office updates

Service Visit Planning is Now the Operational Calendar!

We’ve given our planning tool a big upgrade - and it’s now officially called the Operational Calendar. Along with the name, we’ve added a ton of improvements to make scheduling easier and more intuitive:

  • Hover over a scheduled visit to instantly see key details - no need to click or open extra windows.

  • You can now edit directly in the form - no more modal windows!

  • When you are editing a visit, the calendar remains on the right to help you select the new date or the new person more easily:

    • By default, it shows the current site’s calendar.

    • If you select a different technician, the site filter clears and the calendar updates to show that tech’s schedule.

  • The date you're editing is highlighted in a different color for easier visual tracking.

These updates make scheduling service visits - and soon, deliveries - faster, clearer, and a whole lot smoother.

Timesheets for the Whole Team - Not Just Field Staff

Previously, Timesheets only worked for users with at least one scheduled visit. But we’ve listened to your feedback!

Now any team member can start and end their workday - even without visits - and the system will calculate their hours. This means your office team can now track time too, helping everyone stay organized and aligned.

A Cleaner, Friendlier Service Visit Card

We’ve redesigned the Service Visit Card to be simpler, clearer, and easier to use, giving you a better experience with fewer distractions.

Display Card: Plants and Planters are Now Sorted by Creation Date

To help you find info faster, all the new plants and planters you are adding, are now stored in the chronological order.

Open Replacements and Replacement Report Sections Redesigned

We’ve overhauled the Open Replacements and Replacement report sections to make them clearer and more user-friendly. Also, now everything fits in one screen, so no need to switch the full-screen mode on and off.

Keep an eye out for a new “Act” column on the right - soon, we’ll be adding icons to flag which tickets need a human action (like approvals or delivery scheduling).

🛎️ Quick tip:

Did you know you can mass-edit service sites or displays?

Use the export/import trick:

Export them to XLS, make your edits, and import the file back in. The system will update the entries automatically - quick, easy, and clean!

That’s it for now - but we’ve got even more exciting features on the horizon, including delivery scheduling, logging unplanned jobs and updated field inventory.

As always, thank you for your continued support and feedback - it’s what helps us keep growing and improving One Big Green for you.
