One Big Green just got a major upgrade! Import displays from photos, enjoy a smarter three-level inventory, export and bulk-update spreadsheets, track time with Special exports, set user roles, and customize budgets for any date range. Filters now stick for the day.

All designed to make managing your service sites faster, easier, and more flexible than ever.

Let’s check what's new! 👇

📷 Importing displays with just pictures

No spreadsheets with historical inventories? No problem.

If your company doesn’t have reliable records of what’s out in the field, OBG can still get you up and running fast. Just take photos of your displays, upload them, and the system will create your inventory for you. You’ll have a clear baseline from day one, and your team can instantly recognize displays by their pictures.

This is a perfect option if you need to set up your accounts quickly and start using OBG company-wide as soon as possible.

🌱 A huge upgrade for the Service site inventory

The Service site inventory has been completely reworked. Every change is designed to minimize the number of clicks it takes to add your inventory and keep it updated.

And there’s more: OBG now uses a new three-level architecture, where displays have planters and planters have plants. This replaces the old two-level model, where displays had planters and plants together without any subordination.

You’ll also notice new handy options, like requesting a replacement straight from the display list, or duplicating a display with all its planters and plants in one go. On top of that, you can adjust your view exactly the way you like. For example, expand or collapse the plants and planters, or if you don’t track planters, you can hide them with a single click.

You can add displays manually, import them via spreadsheets, or bring them in with photos. All these improvements are the outcome of your consistent feedback, so thank you for pushing us to make OBG better.

⬇️ Spreadsheet export and import: upgraded to match the new structure

Since the inventory now follows the three-level model (displays → planters → plants), the spreadsheet export and import templates have been updated, too.

The new structure keeps everything neatly organized and makes bulk editing much easier.

🔃 Bulk updates made easy

If you’re a fan of efficiency, you’ll love this: you can still export your data into Google Sheets, make edits in bulk, and then reimport it back into OBG. This works not only for service sites, but also for services and display lists.

It’s the quickest way to roll out large changes across your portfolio, like updating site details, changing parameters, or restructuring sites.

Here’s how it works 👇

🕒 Timesheets: introducing Special export

Timesheets now come with two export options. The Simple export gives you a straightforward file with all the time records for a chosen employee or date range.

Special export takes it a big step further. It allows you to apply settings that match your company policy, and OBG will automatically calculate totals for each employee and activity type. You can also decide what counts as overtime - whether it’s hours outside a certain range, weekend shifts, or work beyond standard hours.

These totals can then be imported directly into your payroll software, making payroll processing quick and reliable.

👫 User roles and visibility settings

You now have more control over who sees what. Admins always have full visibility, but you can tailor access for managers and field team members. For example, you can set whether they see all service sites or only the ones where they’re assigned, and you can decide if they should see all timesheets or just their own.

This flexibility helps protect sensitive data while keeping your team effective.

📈 Budgets: any date interval you need

Budgets just got a lot more flexible. You can now select any date interval you want. That means you can check whether you’re on track since the last time you updated your budgets, or align with a financial year that doesn’t run from January 1 to December 31. The choice is yours.

📰 Filters that remember

And for a little day-to-day convenience, filters in the Service site list now stay active until the end of the day. So if you filter for sites by a specific supervisor or service, those filters will still be there even if you navigate away and come back later.

We’re committed to making OBG as seamless as possible to implement and as enjoyable as possible to use.

Thank you again for all your feedback - it keeps us moving in the right direction.💡
